Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was not having it when U.S. President Donald Trump suggested that Canada might want to join the United States. In a meeting at the Oval Office, Carney looked Trump straight in the eye and said, 'Canada is not for sale, it won't be for sale, ever.' Trump, known for his love of real estate, tried to sell Carney on the idea of a 'wonderful marriage' between the two countries, but Carney remained firm. The Canadian leader was not about to let Trump add Canada to his real estate portfolio.
Trump then made the bizarre claim that the border between the U.S. and Canada is 'artificial,' raising eyebrows among those present. It's worth noting that this is not the first time Trump has floated the idea of acquiring Canada, despite Canada's repeated rejection of the concept. One can only imagine what kind of 'artificial' border Trump had in mind.
As the meeting ended, Carney could be seen mumbling to himself, 'This guy is more delusional than a moose in heat.' And with that, he exited the White House, leaving Trump to his fantasies of global real estate domination. It's safe to say that Canada will remain an independent nation, much to the chagrin of President Trump and his artificial border ideas.
